Jay Scofield Photo Friday Monday!

November 8th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Photo Friday

Canon 350d Canon 18-55 1/250 f/4.5

This is one of the first photos I shot after moving to Savannah that I was really happy with.  This also happened the night I met the style god that is Jay Scofield for the first time.  I was skating the Roly Poly ledge with a couple friends and he skated up in some brand new Nike’s and a newly set up board and proceeded to blow us all away.  He did this noseslide at least five times til I figured out my light settings to get a proper photo.  Jay is, as far as I know, the only person to do anything on this ledge without the assistance of a ramp (i.e. Garret’s check out part) and that is why I deem this picture worth for a photo friday.

This spot is on the other side of the alley that the Roly Poly ledge is in, http://is.gd/fCXK9.

Justin Arroyo Photo Friday!

Justin Arroyo - Ollie

Canon 1D Classic 1/800s . f/3.5 . ISO 100 . Tokina Fisheye at 12 mm

Justin has been dominating the games of s.k.a.t.e. at Woody’s lately and hit me up saying he wanted to get a photo.  He likes gaps so we went to the HIV spot, but he noticed this gap a little further down the street that’s quite a bit bigger.  After eating a whole bunch of shit with some pretty serious falls, he stomped this (somewhat one footed) huge ollie out past the rail.

Todd Maloy Photo Friday!

Todd Maloy - fs tail

Canon 1D Classic Canon 50mm 1/500 f/4.0

Super ultra top secret spot that Todd discovered and we had been working on fixing up for a while.

Here’s two videos that we filmed there, http://vimeo.com/10671241 and http://vimeo.com/10448244

I can’t remember the location to find it on google maps, but it’s somewhere behind an empty warehouse in the industrial district of Pooler.  Lots and lots of ledges and stuff to get creative with.  Next time him and I head out there, I’ll be sure to remember where it’s at and get some photos of the whole spot to put it on the map.

This decent sized flat gap is located at http://is.gd/fpMb5 and is easier approached from the other side, but Kendall didn’t want an ass shot posted on the site.

Ethan Glover Photo Friday!

Ethan’s new-ish in town and posted on the site that he was wondering where all the skaters were at so I hit him up and said that he should get a photo for next friday.  A new guy on a new spot?  Sounds like a good combination to me.  Ethan threw this back feebz down pretty easily, so expect to see more from this guy in the near future.

Adam Amaral Photo Friday!

October 1st, 2010 · 2 Comments · Photo Friday

Canon 350d Canon 18-55 1/250 f/4.5

I can’t remember when I shot this, but it’s arguably one of the most hidden spots in all of Savannah.  It’s not the best lit photo I’ve ever taken but Adam boosted so big on this back 180 off a tiny little bump over this grate that I had to post it.

Located 4 floors under city market in the middle of the parking garage.  Take the elevator in ellis square all the way down and then look around a bit. You’re sure to find it.

Super Spot Map Update!

September 30th, 2010 · 6 Comments · News

I went on a bike ride around town today and shot flicks of a buncha spots that needed to be known. CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE UPDATED SPOT MAP  More pictures of each spot are posted under their entries on the map.
The most unique spot award goes to Billy whom I randomly ran into today while down on Victory. He showed me what, in my opinion, is a spot only someone with an extensive imagination could even discover.  Those lil kids got creativity. Click the sequence below to see more images of spots

Photo Friday?

September 10th, 2010 · 2 Comments · Photo Friday

Since the site is a little desperate for content this past month, I decided that I’d try to post a photo every Friday of spots that aren’t usually skated in this town.  Partially to get me shooting photos more and also to get all of you exploring around to find new stuff to skate and get tricks shot at.  If you’ve got a trick on something new, get at me on facebook!

First up we have Todd Maloy with a stylish ollie on a tiny little bank that we found while biking one day. This spot is located at http://is.gd/f04D7 (where the vacant lot is on google maps). Click the photo to make it bigger.
