So I moved to California two weeks ago and I’ve been trying to get my skate on, see what these LA spots are all about.  I made the trip down to the Santa Monica Pier and got a chance to experience the fun that is the Santa Monica triple set.  I don’t know how dudes do flip tricks down this shit… Filmed by Justin Harder. Savannah Skates is hip, we’re up with the times, we know about  YOUnited Nations and all that cool stuff.   We know everyone has their own crew of homies that they skate with and thats awesome.  What we want to do is invite everyone to unite as one crew and put together the best montage we can for YOUnited nations. Essentially if you rep Savannah and you skate that cobblestone like its your job…your in.  For those of you who don’t know Matt Duvall,  He is a film and editing master as well as a rainbow enthusiast.   Check out his Skateboarding work: Matt Duvall Skateboarding Portfolio. He came up with the idea to setup an online folder for anyone to submit footage too.  We’re not talking cell phone footy, we want the best you got…but that doesn’t mean just tricks and 20-stair bangers.  Submit anything that you feel represents Savannah’s skateboarding scene.    Once we got a bunch of footage Matt has offered his services to make a super edit that we’ll submit to YOUnited Nations and put up on SavannahSkates.  You can access the online upload HERE or in the featured section to your right.  Hopefully we make this happen!   So get to it!!

Alright so we decided to do something a little different and add two new spots to the spotmap but show some footage of the spots as well.  Maybe the haters out there need to see evidence that these spots are indeed skateable. Alright so we got a little montage for you that just shows what a fun day we had…We had to try to avoid rain all day, deal with locking my keys in my car and hang out with Savannah’s finest civic center security guards. Not a lot of tricks but plenty of good times. We ended up going out for a late night sesh and getting some tricks but those will be in the next montage…which will be coming in a day or so.
