Skate or Dye Contest

It was a hot day for a contest, I’m pretty sure everyone got worn out before it even started. Despite the Lava rain there was a big turnout. The turnout was actually so big that that they had to make a on the fly rule change and some people got cut from having a second run. With one person filming it gets a little tough, so any one out there with a decent camera lookin to join the savannahskates team, hit up aaron@savannahskates.com. Did I mention it was hot too? The results: 1st place- Lee, 2nd place- Shirtless kid, 3rd place – Graham (hes invisible)

We’ve kept you waiting but now its time… Erik’s part showcases the diversity of Savannah skate spots as well as reminds you that if you play him in a game of manual skate, you’ll probably get raped…literally (you see that mustache?). Erik has a unique approach to skating and does some complex twinkle toe shit that I will not land anytime soon if not ever. We know we know its been a minute but Erik Binggeser is wrappin up the last bits of his Checkout part and its gonna be sick, in the meantime we got a Checkout part from Zak Newman. This is the skate part that came out of my documentary “Those Other Days” (if you wanna see it get at me: aaron@savannahskates.com). Zak is from Atlanta and if you’ve had a chance to chill or skate with him you’ll know that he’s just as laid back as his skating style. Zak rips, and I love the spots; It’s all very nostalgic for me. I wanted to hit the classic atl spots, like foundation, peachtree marta, bellsouth, and of course I had to start off with a killer dpark section…SAV spots as well….So, check out Zak Newman. Bluffton Park Montage

Finally the new Bluffton park opened, so all the homies took a trip out there. So worth the drive, its only 21 min from the bridge(garrett/andrew timed it). It’s a bit pooly, but the park is awesome. The only downside was the masses of kids… which was expected. No pads, no helmets, no money. There will def be more montages coming out of this park!
