At Savannah Skates we’re here for the people, no dictatorship bullshit. We’ve been having mixed opinions on the new section: “Lurk Daddy Fahie and Kids that Rip” We honestly created the section because of a couple of things. One we wanted to expose kids from Savannah who don’t know about every ridiculously good skater out there. Two because it created a buffer for us in between updates. Sometimes its hard, especially with alot of people moving and stuff to get together a montage. That being said I wanted to put the choice in your hands, cuz after all its your site. So give us your opinion and if you can, suggest some ideas you might have that would keep Savannah Skates fresh and worth visiting…put it in the comments. Also I desperately need to rework the footy upload section because that shit takes forever to upload anything.. any php programmers out there??

I voted “yes”. I still have mixed feeling about this. Because this is “Savannah Skates”. But since Sean “motha fuckin” Fahie (haha) is posting these, and he’s pretty much a Savannah local and all around good dude we should let it ride. And I Love when this site is updated, it keeps me coming back. The only thing I don’t like so far is there isn’t enough updates. So this acts as good buffer between montages.
The only improvement I can think of for the “kids that rip” section, maybe feature more skaters from the south.
I voted “no”, but to clarify I think it should try to focus on people in the south! Then possibly like once a month have a limited edition post with a Savannah Skates skater.

I think we should have photos posted in the main stream sometimes, especially if there’s footage to match it.

I feel you about the skate video thing, i just feel like there are so many kids out there, many who dont get coverage in full on videos, but rip really hard. Vimeo and Youtube is a great outlet for them, and creates good exposure. Im def tryin to see the up and comers, plus i will watch about anything skateboarding related, so the more the better. Isn’t new pussy better than good pussy?

I really don’t mind if the section is kept. I do see people’s reasoning to have it taken down. It does have nothing to do with the purpose of the site. I don’t really watch the videos or prefer the section myself but I do see how it is used to keep something fresh up. I do see how though the section could be kept and why people do like it. I lurk youtube so I always see them but if no one else does than this section could be interesting for them. Also for Erik no one said it couldn’t be a kid from the 912. For instance if anyone could get in contact with Lee or Cory, who both fucking kill it, who said that they couldn’t have a section? That or if someone like Jay, who if I remember correctly shuts everything down from the few times I skated with him, was willing to film a part he could be in it. Overall I think it has its ups and downs just like everything else and should be kept based on the overall vote.

I just moved to Savannah from effingham and found the site. i really don’t have a say but i think it is chill and would be better with more skaters from the south.
